Pollard: why I'll vote Tory

Hat tip to Iain Dale for drawing my attention to this article in The Times by Stephen Pollard, who up to now has been a Labour voter since he turned 18, but who next week will vote Tory for the first time in his life.

Will Sue Pollard be voting Tory?

I have been unable to find any suggestion that she has ever made a public statement of her political allegiance. And as it is a secret ballot she is fully entitled not to.

Sorry Tim, but I think that comment was over the line and exposes this blog to a risk of a libel action.

Stephen Pollard says that up until this election he had never voted Conservative.

Stephen Pollard is a very enthusiastic Zionist. Most of these people are on the right of British politics. Perhaps it is indicative of how far right the Labour party has travelled that this man can vote Labour and be so virulently anti Palestinian.
Chris Whiteside said…
I regard it as self evident that both Jews and Palestinians have human rights, and that we should try to create a world where neither Jewish nor Palestinian women and children routinely get bombed, blown up or shot.

I would be astonished if Stephen Pollard has ever dissented from that view.

Sorry Tim, I think that is over the line and would expose this blog to a risk of libel action if I left it up.

I think you should learn the difference between libel and censorship.

Tim - if you want to accuse Stephen Pollard or anyone else of the sort of things you have posted, get your own blog, post them there, and see whether they expose you to the risk of a libel action or not.

Stephen Pollard's opinions on Israel and Palestine are in the public domain for all to see. Sadly there are far too many people, both Labour and Conservative who are signed up to some new Orwellian bleat "Palestine bad, Israel good"

I see you are resorting to the cricket bat position again !

Pollard has posted a great many things about the conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, but if he has posted anything as extreme as the views attributed to him in the posts removed from this blog, I didn't see it.
