Quote of the day 24th September 2014

"If any undecided voter was waiting to be convinced Ed M is PM in waiting, not very sure that was the speech that would do it..."

(The BBC's Laura Kuenssberg on Twitter yesterday)

Millibands speech, well it was great wasnit it.

There was a lot of "togetherness" in it, but who is together I wonder?

It was sort of ish about something about something his party is willing to "offer" the electorate, on a take it or if we get in we will take it from you anyway, sort of thing. No mention of "what would you like us to do on your behalf, since that is what you would be electing us on"

Even the audience did not seem to "wake up" until he mentioned the NHS, but then he was going to "improve" it - forgetting his party kind of runined it to start with, and the fact there is no money to pay for it. Not a word on deficit reduction.

then a single reference to regionaisation (milliband ((EU)) style)

Oh yeah, it was great that.

^ although do you mind if we make it a coffee from the pelican garage, its nice coffee and all, just it only costs £1.50 so its cheaper than costa, just you know, I dont have a lot as the government keep taxing it from me for stuff i never asked for. And then expecting me to pay a debt i never asked for. its not austerity that sucks ed, its the reckless spending that happens before, so we are going to the pelican.

Interesting, you can often tell more about a person by what they dont say rather than what they do.

have a looky at the lines Ed himself omitted from his speach, tells a tale doesn't it.

It does indeed. With friends like this, who needs enemies?

I've added a new post on the subject of the deficit and Mr Miliband forgetting to mention it.
