You see this with politics all the time. Their own wish is always to win the next election, unless of course they have just won the last one.

Its so often the case, take our overwhelming national debt as a great example. I don't think there is a politician who does not know the answer to this problem.

I think they all know the answer, (yeah even Red Ed) they all know what they should do, the thing is they don't know how to be elected after doing it, thus none of them are in a major hurry to do it.
