Charles Kennedy RIP

In the past 24 hours there have been many moving tributes to the late Charles Kennedy, former Lib/Dem leader, who died yesterday at the age of 55.

Charles Kennedy was many things, but he was clearly a man of great ability, enormous charm and wit, and strong sincerity and integrity.

He will be remembered for taking the Lib/Dems to their best result in living memory, partly because he was right about the Iraq War.

Usual Obit rules apply to this post.

Rest in Peace.

Indeed,

I found myslef really liking the politician a few times, namely one PM question time when IDS had given Blair an overly easy time.

Charles Kennedy stood up, he started asking the questons (to boos around the house) he paused, and said, I still remember "Mr Speaker, I am simply asking the questions that, that honorable gentleman [pointing to IDS] should have asked"

I mean that deserves respect.

RIP Charles
