Trudy Harrison;s surgeries.

Since being elected earlier this year Trudy Harrison, the MP for Copeland, has held 11 "surgery" sessions to meet constituents in various parts of Copeland constituency and had met with a further 47 constituents in their own homes or communities.

She carries out these engagements in accordance with the official security advice given to MPs for their protection and that of their staff.

I'm intrigued by this story. The claims by the press need investigated, and if Trudy has evidence of an individual stirring the brown stuff, then it all needs to come out for transparency reasons and restoration of trust.

For the record, I do believe Trudy's take on this, considering the pro-Labour antics of the local press in the run up to the elections.

The difficulty about making public statements setting out that evidence just yet is that much of it is, I understand, currently "sub judice" because of an ongoing criminal procedure involving one of the people responsible for planting the news story in the local press.
